Kymera Press, Inc. is a woman-owned comics publishing company based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, whose mission is to promote women artists and creators in comics and to publish women-friendly comics.
History[]
The company was founded by writer D. Lynn Smith when her former agent, Maggie Field, suggested she turn her unproduced television pilot script, Gates of Midnight, into a comic book. After spending two years delving into the independent comics scene and researching comics as both a medium and an industry, Smith decided that not only did she want to publish her own comic, she also wanted to provide an outlet for other talented women being overlooked by the comics industry at large.[1]
